This Summer, PPA will be offering camp options for soccer and basketball players of all ages and skill levels. The organization is excited to provide safe camp options every week of Summer 2021 that focus on player experience and parent convenience. All PPA camps have a camper to staff ratio of 10:1 which allows for an intimate training session and direct access to PPA summer camp coaches.
“We have been working hard to organize our Summer camp offerings and feel excited with the calendar we’ve put together,” PPA Camp Director, Yikalo Tesfamariam, said. “We’ve structured our soccer and basketball camps to be the perfect mix of training and fun and our Premier players will have access to top notch facilities. While we won’t be fully back to normal this Summer, our goal was to provide something special for everyone, and we’ve been able to accomplish that.”
Starting June 21 and running through August 13, PPA will be running soccer camps at Meadowbrook Park. Soccer camps at Meadowbrook are designed for the athlete interested in building a stronger foundation, while enjoying time with their friends. Attendees will work on core fundamentals of the game as well as team building exercises. Summer camp weeks at Meadowbrook will alternate between K-3rd grade campers and 4th-8th grade campers. Separating campers by age allows coaches to customize their curriculum and, in turn, provide a high quality training experience. At the onset, these camps will have a limited capacity of 25 players per week of camp. The 25 player capacity allows PPA to abide by our clubs COVID-safe policies as well as county restrictions. Should the landscape change, and restrictions ease as we approach summer, PPA will increase the weekly capacity.
PPA has partnered with the Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart to provide our Premier Soccer players with a high quality training facility. PPA Premier soccer players will have six weeks of summer training with the clubs top coaches. All Premier Soccer players receive one week of complimentary soccer camp at no cost. To receive the Premier Soccer summer code, contact Premier Soccer Director, Annie Worden.
Basketball players will also have access to the Stone Ridge campus for the same six weeks of summer as Premier Soccer. Due to COVID restrictions, basketball camp will be held outdoors on two courts. Similar to PPA’s Meadowbrook camps, Hoops camps at Stone Ridge are designed for the athlete interested in building a stronger foundation while enjoying time with their friends. These hoops camps will have a limited capacity of 30 players per week.
PPA’s Premier Hoops program is finalizing their Summer 2021 programmatic offerings. Premier Hoops players can expect training and team building options throughout the Summer. For more information on Premier Hoops, contact Premier Hoops Director, Michael McClain.
